Techniques to Get Rid of Warts

Warts are annoying and in many instances harmless. Lots of these will go away if left alone but most people want to what they can to get rid of them. For this reason lots of drugs and techniques have been developed. Some of the methods are more expensive than others and more labor intensive than others. One of the removal techniques that is recommended my many physicians to get rid of warts is tape therapy.

That may sound very strange and there are some that do not like this type of treatment but it has been said that it works quite well. There does not seen to be any danger to trying it but asking a doctor is a good idea before trying it. The way tape therapy works is to by putting a few layers of tape over your wart. I suppose you can use any type of waterproof tape including duct tape. See duct tape has even yet another use. The tape should stay in place for about one week and then removed for half of a day. The removal of the tape is meant to allow the area to get some air. Put the tape on for another week and the warts should start leaving. The tape idea is supposed to be great for the ones near your nails since the chemical usually used to treat warts can scar and cause future nail issues.

The reason the tape is able to work is that the airtight seal around the wart causes the area to stay wet and disallow the virus to multiply and grow. I have never tried it but it sounds interesting and worth looking into if you have some bothersome warts on parts of your body that you would rather not have the doctors put very strong acidic chemicals on.
